| Just wanted to remind every one the price we paid did not include burying the pipes or making good any holes ect. The rads are Bulgarian, bought from the factory at Strazhitsa ( we could not buy them untill we were shown all around the factory and saw how they were made). |

| Here's my experience. Central heating in our place was done about 4 1/2 years ago. A Viadrus insulated wood-burner (we think Polish) we bought from a show in Varna which was about 1300 lv. rated 29KW, we have three sets of pipes going out the back with separate valves.and a battery back up. We have ten rads. over two floors. Aluminium sections put together to give whatever size you need, we have from 10 to 17 sections. I think they are Italian? but don't know the name. Aluminium pipes. With all the fittings and work done it was about 5500 lv. It ticks over at about 60 C on 1 year wood, but if we open it up, the rads. will be hot enough you can't touch them. I clean the inside of the wood burner and the inside of the 2 metre back pipe (that goes into the wall and into the old chimney stack) every few weeks. If we leave it longer it starts to send smoke back into the room. It's a dirty job but only 20 minutes to do. In this 0 C. weather we light it in the day if we are in sitting around but most nights let it go out at around midnight. When it gets colder I stack it up and close it down at night, which will usually leave enough hot bed in the morning to restart it, Of course if we get up at night we throw a couple of more logs on. House stays is around 20-22 C. If it is really cold -15 to 20 we can still keep it around 18 C. We had a new roof this year and put insulation in, and that has helped too. |
