Yes he arrived but did not seem to be very hungry, he did not bing him back the next day I can only assume our garden was not up to his usual standards. But we are getting there bit by bit see the garden sections here viewtopic.php?f=34&

Phew hot here today - just fnishing off the nets now. Baba Ginka came down this morning she is looking much better but has a massive bruse under her arm. That was the first time she ventured out she has been told not to do any work and rest and that is exactly what she is doing.

Hello to all of you

Morning everyone loos like its going to be a stress filled day here today We have a power cut and the alarm has gone off and will not stop. Trying to find where the battery is so we can dsconnect been running now for about 20 mins not a soul in site...

Finally got the alarm to stop I eem to have over ridden the programme but don't know how to reset it so have rung the engineer who should be here about 1pm ish to reset etc.

Phew! it's so hard coping here with limited Bulgarian and no English about everything is so far away to get to Silistra it is a 40km round trip. Feeling like I need to go home now, hope this is a passing phase

Engineer has been, checked the battery and it appears to be leaking and to top it all we cannnot do anything as we have no electrity (power cuts on and off all morning. In total a wasted trip - Dougie had to do an 70km trip to fetch the engineer here and take him back in to Silistra again. He says I think he will get a new battery and will call us again to come and fetch hiim again.

Morning all a lot of rain here. It has been raining all night and am told it will be like this for the rest of the day and maybe tomorrow Now what can I do indoors - Got 100's of litte throw out presents for the Garden Party to wrap up - could get started on that maybe.

Hi Paddy luckly for me I brought everything I need including loads of tape. Never thought of wrapping Dougie up but you know, that is not a bad idea would't he children be surprised

Still raining here seems like it is everwhere and people are having PJ days - can't be doing with that. Dougie gone off to get the ladders so we can start papering the ceilings.

Yepeeeeeeee the rain finally stopped sun has come out at 5pm lets hope we have seen the last of the rain for a while.

Good morning everybody well only just still morning.

Good afternoon all - a good day here today i rang the builder this morning and he came round he will start the renovatiions of the small granny house in two days I don't know what day it is today but he said in two days. the building will be 7mts long by 5mts wide this covers the exisitng concrete but he will put another layer of concrete on there.

We also got most of the 7ft weeds cleared from around the granny house got 6 mozzie bites and Dougie got 11 we were cover from head to toe but not our faces so nets tomorrow.

Also we have a flower on our UK lilic tree, this has please me no end as I have tried for 5 years to grow this here in BG each time it dies. This time I dug the small tree up and wrapped it in wet newspaper in plastic bag with water. It survived the 7 day trip and I planted it immediaately. Now we have two flowers I love it.

that is very good news, i know that the building bits are different in Bulgaria, but make sure the builders break your existing concrete floor up or just fill in around the edges, otherwise you will end up with cracks in the floor, and that will give you even more problems later on.
also on that note i have a customer on the isle of man who is doing a refub on there premises that has a portable building on it (markee) which might be removed, it has been used for parties and weddings etc, i think its about 1500sqft , that would make a good mini warehouse for you, and if she is willing i will try my best to get it for you.

Thanks Paddy, yes will tell Dougie to make sure of the floor. Still having problems trying ot locate a container. spoke with the Mayor and he said it is not possible to get a container down our roadway, firstly the trees will all need to be cut back then there is electric wires then the road is made of earth the wagon with the container on top will be too much weight and sink in. So might have to give that idea miss but one door closes and another opens - re your portable building that sounds fab.... thank you for thinking of us, you are a star!!
