| Managed to do it eventually and it looks like no water or electricity. I wonder if it's got a phone so you could phone up to get water and electricity???? |

| I will say from the outset I am Biased and totally recommend the coast, i'm in Burgas! The weather...... On the coast (or near it) it can be upto 10'c cooler in the height of summer (with the lovely Black Sea to cool off even more) and 10'c warmer in the winter, something to consider. There is now a completed Motorway all the from Sofia to Burgas, so if an Airport was a priority, anyway along this route could be well worth considering, Plovdiv is now just 2 hours drive away, Stara Zagora, Nove Zagora, Sliven are even less. There are many wonderful area's in Bulgaria and having visited most of them and they all have something that appeals to me (it's a rich (not monetary) and diverse country) but wether i would buy a home, holiday or otherwise, in these places is another matter. It's very easy to get emotional and starry eyed when visiting or hunting for the perfect place, but do the extra homework before you decide. I've met countless people that have bought in haste and regretted it later when reality sets in, it's an important decision so take your time, it's not going anywhere. |

| It gets windy everywhere, but yes, in the summer months from around Lunchtime onwards there is a onshore breeze, which is what keeps it cooler and sea a bit choppy, but nothing i imagine out of the normal for the rest of the country. |

| It's not what you're looking for, it's north of Sofia here is the location link and like Edna said the South-East is the best weather in BG and that's why i send you yambol area because we get only few day of a very cold weather it's even better than the weather on the coast, let me know exactly what you're looking for better to do this by messages and i'll help you to find your rental place and then you'll come here stay few months and look for the right area to buy your house don't rush. so here is the link of Montana where that house is and have a look at our area on the map, between Burgas and Yambol is my advice, the coast is very expensive but this area is the poorest in Bulgaria so the houses for rent and sell are the cheapest in the country. I've found this - I don't know if it's for sale or rent and it sends google translate berserk - Oh, it appears to have gone berserk here as well - let's see if it works
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ... BC__809464 If you use Firefox, try the 'Google Translator for Firefox v2.1.0.3' add-on, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Which will put a RED letter T on your message bar at the bottom of the screen, then all you ever need do is 'either' highlight words and click or just click the T and it will automatically translate 'most' of the page for you, at least I find it better than trying to copy and paste into other translate programs. |

| Would somebody (or a few of you) give me your opinion on this area - Veliko Tarnovo? It seems to be a little more inland than has been recommended but I have found several properties of interest. |

There are a lot of our forum members who have bought houses in and around VT. The town itself has everything you could want (supermarkets, DIY stores, restaurants, etc.) and is a lovely looking place, perched on a hill overlooking the river. There are some very nice, reasonably priced properties to be had in the villages that surround VT. |

| We visited there last year and I must say it is a fab place all cobble stones and houses build high up in the mountains - We loved it there adn as Chris said lots of amenities too. We were offered a house there for £45000 completed renovated to a very high standard it included everytihing fom the new car right down to the tea spoon and the phootoes were fantastic. The owners needed to get back to Scotland. If I had my time over again i would certainly go for renavated house. |

| Thanks for your honesty!
I've sort of given up trying to search by specific location because I can't remember the names of places - I'm finding houses I like and then looking at the location and discounting them. |
