Following you folk on this thread is so very entertaining...it's been many years since I had to sit 'down the back' and I can't believe what a shamozzle it is now. 22+ hours (with one stopover) in Business or 1st class was a doddle...the odd long haul flight in ' cattle class' was bearable back then. Prices were the same, wherever you sat...special meals could be pre ordered and requests for a certain seats would be entertained without fuss. Hint! If you are going somewhere on a 747, in economy class, the rearmost seats, on the right hand side, will give you the most personal space sideways and no one sitting behind you because of the big service door on that side. I't's quiet and very spacious.

Got another email to say winter flights are on sale now so looked at Nov but no flights available last flight available is 30 Oct.

I think you will find that is because they only take bookings within a 7 month period in advance

It's a bummer, Last week I persuaded Sheila's cousin to come with us on the 8th May telling them that I would pay their air fares, because as you know I need help these days
I paid £343.96 for both of them, had I booked it today it would have been £253.96
