Whats wrong with some of these BG forums :Headbang:I was on another forum and a member was asking for some help so I pm'd him the address of this one and told him he could get the information on here and by the time he had got the message the link had been edited :Headbang:which just goes to show that Pm's on that forum are not PM'S at all and the mod reads them first. The forum in question is MYBG.

They've always been the same it's insecurity.

think you will fine that the pm was not read by the mod ...but systen set up that any links in pm,s are automatically deleted , the same way certain words can be picked up and altered to a less offensive word before it appears in print ....

You could be right but why??? surely if someone is trying to help another member then it isn't for anyone to stand in the way of help.

in the case of mybg the link would be outlawed in case it was for a rivel property seller / company.......did not happen before the new owners took over
and done like that as Mods CANNOT read pm,s....where as on the open forum the lins can be deleted if necessary

Most forums have an automatic 'censorship' feature (we have one on here too).

That way, certain words when they are typed are automatically replaced with either another word, a row of asterisks **** or, they are just deleted all together.

Mainly this is used to prevent bad language, but sometimes this feature is also used to automatically take out the names of people or companies that the forum owner, for whatever reason, doesn't want mentioned on open forum or via a PM.
