heres my question to yourselves WHY ARE THE FORUMS SO QUIET ? ...whats going on ?...is this due to the lack of investment interest in BG ?...Folks are skint ?....or just simply that folks have tasted BG &
are not impressed ?...maybe folks have moved on from various forums as they have moved over here &
dont need the conflicting advice thats given on the many forums ......who knows what the reasons could be ...but ide like your thoughts please.

i think its just summer, when most people are busy with work or enjoying the sun. plus kids have all been off school which allows for less time on the computer. I'm not a fan of any of the other forums, they appear to be unhelpful and bitchy, but theres lots of great people on here

Our own experience of posting on this excellent forum is the fact that our tourist friends have been here for some time, this means we have less time on the computer as a result. Having friends here also means that we socialise more and are apt to try some of the amber nectar that the bars sell and this sometimes has a negative effect on our brains and also our bodies to reach out for the on button for the laptop. Also here in Turkey the constant heat is zapping what little energy we have to tap the keys.

most people are out and about in the summer, visiting family or out in the gardens enjoying what bulgaria has, sunshine a forum is not a requirement to life, it is a source of information, conversation and interaction with other people who have a common interest or an interest in sharing their experiences. people do move on, for many reasons, thats life.

with the nights drawing in now, forums will get more active and when the snow arrives and your stuck in for 6 weeks, a forum is a valuable communication resource.

I would agree that it possibly is because people are enjoying the weather and being able to get out and about but I also think that the current climate will also play its part.

all forums go threw their quiet spells ...2 or 3 times in a year......its for a variety of reasons and never ( well almost never ) a reflection on the forum itself .

Yes we are quite . But like myself people have been away on Holiday (New thread methinks). But basically with some of the people that we know they have (or think they have) got all the information they need and just don't log into these forums. I personally feel that this is somewhat selfish as they could help others, but such is human nature. Varna girl is right though things will probably pick as the weather gets milder and colder and peeps have more time

I am a member of a lot of forums and not all Bulgaria related and they are all very quiet at the moment so maybe you are right Tony people have other things to do and also you will alway get those that are 1 hit wonders as I call them.

I think some of it is down to some of the scams that have been going on in Bulgaria regarding property which makes people a bit more careful about joining and asking question and not being sure if they are getting the right answer or not? and no forum is free from this as we all know there was a certain individual who was on this forum who unfortunately still has an add who was shall we say a very colorful person and conned people out of their property so its no wonder that the forums are a little quiet its just a case of time so that people can put their trust back in what people say on forums. Well thats my thoughts on the matter.

So its summer! No-one will convince me that the time of year makes any difference at all. If one has a computer one flicks through emails and forums every day. Its addictive as are any other social sites. I have noticed that people are deleting themselves off Facebook and I think the reason is simply that folks are not so trusting of the internet in general. Plus all the forums which used to be friendly places to exchange information and debate, became full of people just online to provoke arguments or to pass on unfounded gossip which, in some cases, led to loss of business or even closure. Moderators have done a good job in banning a good few but maybe its too late for people to come back. It seems generally that forums are just used to sell things or ask questions that have been asked loads of times before but are too lazy or 'busy' to use the search engines. Not enough stories or views on life in Bulgaria or exchanging of experience. Probably because no-one seems to be interested enough to answer. The comments that in Britain its the 'me' society and few even speak to their neighbours, seems to be largely the case here and on the internet.
Just a few thoughts.

:Thank you:I was concerned that my post was a tad argumentative but its what I believe. I worry for the same reason that I think people are wary of posting. It may lead to bad feeling and unkind replies because of past experience. It makes people hesitate before posting which leads to a dull forum. So come on folks - lets get posting.
