I have read various experiences of others who have been bullied on this forum and others and this includes defamation of a persons character. I also know that in some cases these victims have contacted the site owners and asked for the comments to be removed only to be told NO! even though what has been written there is completely untrue and in some cases checkable. So what I was thinking is if we can use this thread to name and shame those site but in a dignified manor so as to ensure we too don't became as bad as they are. I'm sure this will not only help others but also eventually this will show up in google when people search for these sites and give them some idea of what trust can be placed in the respective sites. so any thoughts form anyone good or bad as I said its only an idea which I think could be of great help.

starlite, What exactly do you hope to learn about these sites, please explain, as it is very difficult to show content without exposing the perpetrators and in many cases the victims details ie, name, address, IP, Tel No, etc etc,

there you go again willowsend, questioning members rather than focussing on the topic of some sites to be careful of. unless people raise awareness to these sites, we will all be non the wiser.

My word - this is some topic! All I have to say is - how does anyone or any site know who is posting the truth? This is a difficult question and only the person wronged knows that a post is a complete lie. This is probably why a site that feeds on vicious complaints posted by someone with an axe to grind cannot or will not remove the said post. As far as I can see the only retribution the victim has is to lie low and not react until the perpetrator gets fed up and stops. This is very unsatisfactory but the only conclusion I can come up with.
Having been the victim of posts designed to annoy and gather together a gang of like-minded people, I sympathise with anyone else in this postion. The internet is a dangerous place.

I thought it was about time I added a little to this one. I have been and still am the victim of a certain individual who has nothing better to do now he's been banned form here and most other forums than to post on all sorts of sites in my name or even post malicious nonsense about me. there are a lot of sites out there that will allow anything to be posted so long as it increases traffic, both of the above sites I have had dealings with and written to the admin and to be quite honest I may as well have waited for a visit from the queen because neither of them world even respond to my request to remove the posts. another site to avaoid is sitejabber. Not all of these sites which supposedly are there to help are all bad but there are quite a lot that you would be better off avoiding and in my own experience;
to many to write here that's even if I could remember them This topic can turn out to be quite useful so long as we don't go :OffTopic:I was told only yesterday of a new post that I have apparently posted :shocked1:the person who posted it has obviously forgotten he had already posted in my name as Ashley_Morris and then joined again as Ashley Morris to post even more rubbish. I have contacted the owner of the site which is Expose a scam but they will not remove anything just in the same way that Topix, The mail in Malta, and so on will not. Unfortunately once a post appears on these site even if removed it take a very long time for them to disappear from Google once they have listed them so all in all its a pretty bad deal we all get when it comes to trusting these sites. but I have also had success with getting posts removed from site such as [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. This particular spammer will post anywhere he can They will also use your email address so that you will get the notifications When I contacted blog.eurojobs this is what they replied with-

So you see there are good and bad. Why do people do this sort of thing I don't know All I am guilty of is banning the person who is now posted all this rubbish about me and others. So it's important that we are all aware of these sites because many of us will come across posts that are there for malicious reasons but so long as we all stop and think "
Can this site be trusted?"

This topic has turned out to be quite interesting with some very good points raised by most of you. Thank you Ashley for adding your experience and I'm sorry you are having to deal with such things. I know it can be difficult to add to much information without giving away personal information of the people that post on these dodgy sites but lets try and stick to what your all doing and naming the sites that you feel can't be trusted because you have had experience of them and not any hearsay. As Ashley quite rightly has said here there are loads of sites and the only real reason they exist in my opinion is to draw traffic and there by draw revenue no matter what the cost is to others. Keep it coming folks its all good and its what will help all of us avoid these sites.

One other thing - remember that everytime someone clicks on these sites the Google ratings can be affected ie go up. It is unlikley to happen with a small amount of traffic but worth noting - The idea of this thread is not to inadvertently help these sites to increase their rank.

As one forum user from here points out, the web hosting company is not GoDaddy. My mistake sorry......

Its a mystery to me how folks find all these bad sites. Don't go looking for trouble and stick to the ones you trust like this one to post your experiences.

You know how it is oldun you looking around the internet for something and suddenly a name of someone you may know pops up and you just have to go and have a look. Well that how it works for me anyway.

Just put in Bryan Talbot, Bulgaria and see what s**t comes up on the front page of Google. I have to live with that even though it is all lies posted by a perpetrator using many different aliases

I didn't understand that you could put in someone's personal name into a search engine! I will have to see when I put my name in. Might be interesting or might worry me too. My problem was only on general forums which we all use.

Yes oldun you can type anything you like into Google and it will throw something at you although not always relevant.
