| Plaman came today to look at the garage doors and they are fine it is the concrete outside that has expanded so they chipped away at it until they could get them closed so Fergie is all nice and cosy again. They will come back when we return from UK they want to break the concret drive area around the garage doors and relay it at a slant. However, I am thinking this is a bit drastic when all that is needed is an angle grinder to grind the higher bits of cement..... What do you think??

| We drove to VT today and passed a 12 foot pile of snow that had been piled up by a JCB in Resen. The gutters and pathways in VT are stacked high with snow and some parked cars unable to move from their spot. Roll on the Summer. |

| COLDER THAN ICELAND: Britain hit by shivering temperatures as heavy snow sweeps in
COMMUTERS are bracing themselves for rush hour hell this week when mind-numbing temperatures plummet to colder than ICELAND as heavy snow blasts Britain.
As the current cold snap continues to dish out freezing temperatures across the UK, forecasters warn we have not seen the last of the shivering snow.
Overnight, temperatures plunged to -7C in some parts of northern Scotland and were expected to plummet to as low as -10C - COLDER than Iceland last night.
Temperatures plunged to between 2C to -4C, in contrast, temperatures will drop to a chilly 0C in Reykjavík, Iceland.
Parts of north-west England and Wales, and the east coast from Lincolnshire to East Anglia, will all experience coastal showers and could see up to 0.4in (1cm) of snow. And wintry showers will persist across northwest England and northern Scotland into next week.
As a result, yellow weather warnings are to be issued for ice and snow around the eastern and western coastlines, though the bulk of inland UK will remain clear.
Despite still feeling cold, Monday will see a good deal of sunshine and fewer showers, though these may fall as rain, sleet or snow.
Met Office forecaster Charlie Powell said: "Hopefully we will see an even sunnier day still with one or two showers around but on balance probably fewer showers than we have seen today.
"Tomorrow will be a slightly better day but still feeling cold and wintry."
By Tuesday a fragmented band of rain will have worked its way in, hitting the cold air and causing a flurry of sleet and snow fall.
Mr Powell added: "The middle of the week is when we start to see things change. Tuesday morning we see a band of rain working its way in from the West and that meets the cold air sitting across the UK. "Especially from northern England northwards, we will see it turning to snow. Most of it will fall over the hills, the Pennines, North Wales, but it could get down to lower levels across parts of Scotland. There's likely to be another warning in force for ice or tricky driving conditions across those parts of the UK."
Tuesday into Wednesday will bring more rain across the southern part of the UK, with a period of turbulent weather consisting of strong winds.
The end of the week is expected to be drier and milder with highs of 13C (55.4F) or 14C (57.2F) in London and the South East.
By next weekend it is hoped the weather will seem more spring-like.
Mr Powell added: ”By this time next week we should be looking at things a bit more seasonal for mid-March.” |

I'm a bit like you when it comes to forecasts....I just take each day as it comes and spend my time doing whatever suits. What I can't do today, will get done...eventually. Procrastination at it's best. |
