by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) with BAS. Registered Records are:

Veliko Tarnovo - 34 degrees;


Pazardzhik - 34 degrees;


Lovech - 34.7 degrees;


Plovdiv - 33 degrees;


Kazanlak - 31.7 degrees;


Razgrad - 31.7 degrees;


Montana - 31.5 degrees;


Lom - 30.4 degrees;


Dobrich and Dragoman - 30.2 degrees;


Sofia - 29.9 degrees;


New Village - 29.1 degrees;


Murgash Peak - 22.6 degrees;


Botev Peak - 15.5 degrees;


In Rozhen in the Rhodope region have equalized temperature record of 23 degrees.

Warmest day was in Lovech - 34.7 degrees.

Tomorrow sunny patches with cloudy skies expected mainly over the eastern parts. Light north-westerly winds are also expected. Highs will be at 23 to 28 °C, in Sofia – 23 to 24 °C.

Awoke this morning expecting rain and winds. Well it was a bit dull and certainly windy but no rain and quite mild here near VT. This afternoon it was beautiful. Did a dogwalk in blazing sunshine though, mercifully, a bit cooler. Its autumn after all and we're lucky to still be having nice weather for the time of year. No fires yet - economic as the Bulgarians tell us!

Highest daytime temperatures expected – 18C to 23C, 18C in Sofia. There will be several sunny hours at the seaside before noon, but more clouds will gather there in the afternoon too.

Same here oldun and this time last year there were fires on, so must be good

i have put my fire on tonight, first time, but its a little chilly this evening.
