Sofia. An organised crime group dealing with robberies on the territory of the entire country has been neutralised by the officers with the General Directorate of National Police, the press office of the Bulgarian Interior Ministry announced.
The special operation involved police officers from Targovishte, Varna, Sliven, Stara Zagora and Dobrich and was carried out under the management of the Property Crimes Department with the General Directorate of National Police. It was launched on March 24, 2015.
Four members of the group were arrested in the coastal city of Varna and in the town of Sliven on Tuesday. Three of the detainees are men, all with criminal records, and one is a woman – the girlfriend of one of the arrested group members.
In the frames of the investigation authorities ascertained that the crime group used to attack mostly stores offering cell phones and computers and jewellery shops.
The fifth member of the crime group was arrested on Thursday morning.
The crime group has been operating since October 2014. It is involved in at least 13 robberies on the territory of the districts of Targovishte, Varna, Dobrich, Stara Zagora, Burgas and Silistra.
Willowsend say's, I wonder what they will do with the criminals now. After seven years the robbers who did us over have never been brought to justice
