I like the paint job on your house, it looks like "
Suffolk"
Pinkand I think the wood work on the front of the house is a different way of refurbishing the some times drab pebble dash Grey stone,it lookks great.A for your garden it looks really nice! I am at the moment developing a garden from scratch and bring it back to how it was once upon a time. It's coming along as the plants need to get established first so everything is imature at the moment.I have never been inerested in gardening as I never had the time when I was living in the UK and working but I now understand the pleasure people get out of it.

All you see there was started from scratch..the only original plants are the two little box trees and the hydrangia. The house used to look very different to what you see today..had a lot of photos taken on the first day that I saw it, but lost them all when the laptop got a soaking with red wine!

The hardest part was the 160 or so sq metres of granite slabs.

The garden itself is 800 sq m and the rest looks pretty much like what you can see in these pics..the medium sized tree near the house is an acacia, which along with the woodworked facade, is my own little touch of Australiana.

My wife lived in Australia up until she was fifteen in the Liverpool area near Sydney. We went to Dobrich to buy some more plants and my wife spotted a "
Bottle brush"
plant and pointed it out to me and said that they have these plants all over the place in Oz.So she asked if we could have one in our new garden but I told her I would try and find out if they will survive here in Bulgaria. So I know that the garden center sells them so one would assume that they would survive here but do they? Would they survive our harsh Winters or would the plant need to come in the house through the Winter?Advice appreciated!

i think you would have to bring the bottle brush plant for winter. That's the problem with so many plants they have to be in pots and the more they grow the heavier they get too So moving them around is difficult and then storeing them.
Our garden was a jungle as are so many when you buy property here but after a few years it comes together.
Trees and plants and seeds are cheap enough and the roses you can cut push into the ground cover with a plastic bottle and watch your new rose tree grow Love the roses

I would certainly be bringing the bottlebrush inside during the winter. They like a fair bit of water, but can survive ok on almost none..they also have no problem with full sun and very high temps. If you get the right one you will have a very beautiful flowering shrub..lots of pics on google.
