Toshiba plans to build solar power plant
Japanese corporation Toshiba will start building 10-megawatt facility in Bulgaria, which is expected to become operational in the next financial year, the news agency Reuters. This is part of a major project of the Japanese corporation to build solar parks in Europe and the USA. Through them, the corporation is expected to generarira sales of 150 billion yen (1.41 billion) for the financial year ending in March 2016
The plant, which will be located in Yambol, will cost about 4 billion yen (37.6 million) and will have capacity to supply about 2000 households. Instead, it owns directly, the company plans to sell local funds or other financial investors.
Besides projects in Bulgaria, Toshiba is considering entering the Italian and American market, using its experience in solar power. Japanese corporation in the business sees a potential for growth and expect him to 200 billion yen (1.88 billion) revenue from domestic and foreign markets for the financial year to March 2016
Toshiba plans to build eight large solar power plants in Europe in 2015 and may consider acquiring local companies with expertise to build them.
