Any comments on the big day at Silverstone, The British F1 Grand Prix. I would expect one from ChrisQBG
Now I must settle down to watch the Football World Cup Final, At least we are represented even if it is only the British Referee and his linesmen

Indeed, a great day for sport!

My day started even earlier with the World Superbikes from Brno (great racing and Congratulations to Johnny Rea and Max Biaggi).

Then, after the first Superbike race a mad dash from dining room to living room to get ready for the pre-race build up from Silverstone (this entailed the F1 on the TV and the laptop on the coffee table ready to watch the 600 SuperSport race online, which unfortunately, clashed with the F1 race).

Congratulations to Mark Webber ... he drove a good race and was never really threatened from the off.

As for the World Cup ... I wasn't really too bothered who won (I have friends in both countries), however, after the first half I would have to say I was hoping Spain would do it, as the Dutch (in my opinion of course) could have easily have already had two sent off for blatant fouls, which I don't consider is in keeping with the spirit of a World Cup Final.

So, Congratulations Spain!

Also, well done Howard Webb and his two linesmen ... a lot of cards were dished out but he managed to keep control when it could have easily boiled over into mayhem!
