Dougie have really have put so much work into this. It would be great if they and the kids at the orphanage received the support they deserve.

The Dimcho Debelianov Orphanage is located on the Silistra to Alfatar road up a hill just opposite the EON building.

If you are coming from Ruse then turn right on the roundabout after BILLA, pass KAUFLAND and you'll find the Orphanage up a hill on the right just after the next traffic lights, you'll see the EON building on the left.

From Dobrich/Varna, after you've entered Silistra turn left at the first traffic lights carry on through the next set of lights, you'll pass a Shell station on the left, on to the next lights which are located outside the EON building, turn left up the hill here and the Orphanage is on your right.

The event starts at 13:00 stall holders can set up from 10:00.

English Douglas and Bernadette for a second year have provided a large donation to the graduates of the Home for Children Deprived of Parental Care "

Thanks to their friends in England and the website of the family are gathered around the TIR with new clothes and shoes for all ages. The Island has been brought books, TV, pool table and trampoline. And this year's Home for Children Deprived of Parental Care Dimcho Debelyanov will be visited by their English friends - family Bernadette and Douglas Ledzhet. Noble UK citizens have not forgotten the children from their homes and their gifts already travel to Silistra. On Saturday, 25 September, eager kids will unpacking boxes with clothes, toys, training aids and treats.
Last year at this time Bernie , as we kindly call them alumni of the House, was first visited by the fate of disadvantaged children. They arrived and their compatriots living in Silistra and nearby areas. Then the guests from Britain tidy charity barbecue with typical English dishes, and hosts their gratitude with songs and dances. With the funds raised and additional financial donations flooring was replaced and repaired much of the woodwork.
This year Britain will donate precious baby smiles and lots of surprises for the fifty children of the House. Difference would be that besides the smell of barbecue, over the picturesque garden and will carry the songs of Bernie. They have prepared a musical program that will meet with other guests.
Sometimes namlazhneni eyes, but always with a smile on people and Bernie and Dougie share their human creed: "
We are very ordinary people who live in a world that offers little children and the disadvantaged. If we are able to challenge a child smile with a small gift, why stop with this? But that does not end relationships with the House UK. In October it will host a visit by new friends, this time by the English College. 10 of its alumni will be here to help in various activities, including refreshing the exterior of the house and in his yard. Obviously up to Berni and Dougie to give full details on the event, but, in fact, it was a very good day, though tiring with all the travelling. Berni and Dougie are doing a great job. Hats off to Trust, of course, for doing a 900km round trip to be there - great shame about no internet and no live broadcast, but that will be sorted next year. Apart from the kids enjoying themselves thoroughly, there were things such as "
guess the weight of the cake"
, tombola and raffle organised by Berni &
Dougie and a surprise donation given by Anglo Info. A good hour of traditional dancing and singing from the kids, which went down very well.

Berni was notable for being everywhere at once and organising everything to perfection Wish I had her energy :) Am now looking forward to next year's event, which can only be "
onward and upward"
with everything that Berni and Dougie put into these things :)
