First topic message reminder :

Hi guys though we might have a post where we can have a daily chat What do you think?

Today i got the passport forms fill in a total nightmare to do now but I got there, then I had to battle the photos booth and if you make a mistake you lose your £5.00 so have to listen to all the instructions and select the right options, I almost had fun photos instead of ID photos. All we need now is to get someone to sign and stamp the photos and sign the applications forms - then send them off and wait to see if they are ok.

What you been up to.................

Not so good news! I am gutted as we lost the lkea load they needed it shifted today and I could not find anyone. Still it was not meant to be, i guess you win some, you loose some. One door closes and another opens. And the the door did open this evening as Knit for Peace offered me 15 sacks of knitted items mostly blankets I think so feeling a lot better now.

Morning all

Lovely here in the UK today unfortunately I cannot go out as I am waiting for the Counsellor of our area to visit to sign my passport, he said sometime this week and you know what will happen as soon as I go out he will turn up.

Been ding a little sorting an packing where people have dropped stuff off. Just heard from Knit for Peace they are sending 27 sacks of knitted items blankets, hats scarves etc how wonderful is that, makes up for the lost of Ikea stuff.

Getting a little board here now so need to find either a paying job for 3 or 4 days a week or find voluntary work. g

Until we get the passports sorted and they say once they are sent back can take up to 6 weeks - but not got it signed off yet, and Dougies came back to say the photos is too far away so got more done but they are the same £10 spent on photos and cannot get it right yet the machine is set up for passport ID photos and you cannot alter it. Will have to go to town and get another set done FLIPPING nuisance.

My old boss offered me a job yesterday in the call centre of a tv shopping channel - would love it but it is the other side of town and start at 8am would have to leave here at 6am to get three buses. Shame would have love it.

From the charity side all is great but from a personal side it is flipping flipping flipping awful Daily chatter - Page 2 794030042   I am thinking I might be reading too much into this passport signing.  The councellor who said he would call round and sign my form rang to day and said 'sorry I have been looking into signing the form and I cannot do it as I don't know you for 2 years'  Said on the Irish from it says The wittness does not need to know the applicant for any length of time provided they are satisfied as to their identity.   But he was not having it and I would not like him to do something he is not happy with so politely said, not to worry but thank you for trying.   Just because I am stressed out not point in cause him any distress or worry eh. So back to square on.  Tomorrow I see the doctor about high blood pressure so will see if she will do it, if not take it to the police station and let them read the form themselves and see if they will sign it.  Last resort take it to a solicitor and pay the £45 charge....  Red tape here is  worse than Bulgaria  Daily chatter - Page 2 3135333095 Yes stay where you are [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] g

Oh had a great morning... I finally go my Irish passport sorted and now sent off. The pharmacist in Boots stamped the passport in the end was over the moon. Also get new photos for Dougie we went to the photos specialist in town paid £7.99 job done then dropped them into the passport office. Now we wait fingers crossed all ok

Also I am totally amazed by Asda opticians normally my specks cost me from £520, but got them from Asda full specification frame, thin and light reactalight, virafocal etc and including the test for a meer £125. I just can't believe it they are fab...had them on all day and no problems at all just amazing.. I normally have several trips back to the optician to get it right.... ... Go ASDA

Glad to hear that things are turning out for you and Dougie.

Opticians are something I can never afford...I make do with those 10 leva things from Metro...about 6 times per year. Australia has no medical insurance agreement with Bulgaria, so everything I want or need gets left behind. I've not been to a doctor, dentist, optician or any other sort of provider for over 15 years and can't see a time where I ever will...I get sick, I get better, or I die...simple as that!

No drama involved...or intended.

La  What are you like man..... But I agree with you in some respect, For 21 years I NEVER had a day off work sick, then went to the doctor with back problem and it's all gone down hill since then.  Actually I went to the doctor yesterday morning thinking I can come off these high blood pressure pills after the three month trial. (I am not one for pills) But to my amazement she said 'your blood pressure is far too high it should be in the region of 104 to 106 and mine was 163 Daily chatter - Page 2 2345823347 so she flipping increased the dosage to 5mg a day now Daily chatter - Page 2 3135333095   Flipping horse pills : Daily chatter - Page 2 927475117 Looks like I am stuck with these pill now Daily chatter - Page 2 794030042

Mind you being here in the UK has been very stressful so maybe that has hyped B/P up will see her again before I go back to BG

s s s s

Great day today!!! Dougie got his passport back so all is well with him. Then later in the day the post came and inside was a cheque for the full refund and postage for the 2 sets of photos taken at the booth that the passport would not accept. Delighted.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow bring g

We have decided to rent our house out now as son has moved on, so our friend Heidi will be here next week to go through the pros and cons, would you believe it people next door has asked could we rent it to them.... I did consider this option for all of 5 minutes than decided no too much hassle renting to family or friends, if we go thought an agent they will deal with everything for a fee.

Well now things are moving fast here now. This morning the letting agent came to view the property with in a few hours had it on the market and tomorrow we have a viewing so see how things go from there.

I can't believe the certificates we have to get before letting Gas safety, ENERGY EPD, Electric RCD, and now Legionalla assessment, have to have smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms too..... plus setting up fees.... guess the first months rent is in one hand out the other

Makes me happy to be living over here....you see...you buy/rent....you get what you pay for...you take responsibility for your choices in your life!  You want the extra mollycoddling...you are gonna pay...big time!!!

So long as you are honest about the way you advertise your property/house/caravan or whatever, it should all come down to the end user...let them make the choice!!
