easy Hotels open in Sofia


The first easy Hotel in the Bulgarian capital opened on the intersection between Todor Alexandrov Boulevard and Aldomirovska Street, a company media statement announced on January 6 2010.

The hotel features 57 rooms in total, but total bed capacity, or the number of beds per room, has not been disclosed. The hotel is nine storeys high and rooms are on offer for 10 euro. The establishment is the 11th property to be opened by the brand. Reservations can be made at [url=http:

Currently, the easy Hotels' chain includes 10 hotels in the United Kingdom, Hungary, Switzerland and Cyprus. By the end of January 2010, apart from the hotel in Sofia, the company plans to open hotels in Dubai and Berlin.

The first Bulgarian hotel from the UK-based budget chain easyHotel is opening doors in Sofia, the company announced.

The hotel in downtown Sofia has 57 rooms on 9 levels. The investment is estimated at BGN 900 000. Prices start at EUR 10 per night.

The “easyHotel” chain is the first international company for budget hotels in Bulgaria. The chain is part of the “Easy Group” holding, which already operates budget flights in the country.

The hotels offer low prices for basic services such as accommodations and room cleaning while customers pay additional fees if they wish to order internet services, TV programs and others. The reservations are made entirely online with earlier reservations having lower prices, modeled after the budget airlines' policies.

As you say it is run on a similar basis as the airline, does that mean that if you have extra baggage it will cost you another 5euro and if you want extra leg room in bed or another pillow it will cost you another 5euro. I'm only joking folks. I think that a de-lux room starts at 18euro. I wonder what makes it de-lux, perhaps it has a bathroom, all said tongue in cheek. I do know for a fact that if you want the TV on you have to pay 2euro for the control
