Largest Rink in Eastern Europe to Open in Down-town Sofia



The largest ice rink in Eastern Europe, located on 1,400 square meters on the artificial Lake Ariana in downtown Sofia, is set to be open Sunday afternoon 12/12/2010.

The stars from the Bulgarian TV show “Music Idol,” Magdalena Djanavarova and Teodor Koychinov, will entertain the first guests at the opening of the ice rink at 4 pm.

The ice rink will operate 24 hours a day until the end of March 2011. Entrance will cost BGN 4, but will be free between 4-5 pm every day. Students will also enjoy a free entrance every day between 8-10 am.

400 pairs of skates will be available to rent at a price of BGN 4 for a whole day.
