I was just wondering if it is usual to have a white Christmas here. I suppose it really depends where you are situated , but being sort of central north ourselves I wonder what the chances are ? Christmas 2581928987 :Snow window:

Maybe not Christmas but you stand a good change of snow in Jan / Feb. The winters in Bulgaria are very cold but shorter than winter in the UK.

At best, it's a 50-50 bet..the Xmas coming will be my 7th in Bulgaria and I've seen three, but they were fairly low key!

Only ever seen 1 white xmas and that was in the UK so would be good to see one here. But according to my parents, on some occasions you could sit outside on xmas day, I find that hard to believe but I shall take there word for it g

In Dec the weather can change from day to day. I was there at the start of the month last year. One day the temperture was minus something, the next day it was warm enough to sit outside.

Late Jan through to the end of Feb is when you will get very cold weather. Mid March will see the start of spring and you should see your first stork.

It started to snow in the village, in the afternoon of Xmas day when we were there in 2008. There was enough to have a snow ball fight in the evening.

As mentioned earlier, I've seen three snowy Xmas Days here, but remember one year (2007 maybe) sitting down to Xmas lunch outside in the sunshine..not even cool enough for a jumper! I wonder, but don't worry about what this Xmas will bring. Worldwide peace might be a good place to start.

I'm hoping that the one Xmas you mention wasn't last year, because our snow was knee deep on Xmas morning!
