We have had some pretty wet stormy weather here in the UK the past week or two. Some would say that such weather triggers rheumatic and arthritic complaints due to rapid pressure change and damp conditions. I certainly seem to be suffering at the moment anyway. I wondered if any forum members who suffer rheumatic and arthritic problems have improved since living in BG. I Know a lot of sufferers move to warmer climates .for exactly this reason but I wondered if it truly did make a difference. My consultant says it doesn't make and difference where you live but I wondered what you guys think?

Hmmm.....I have osteoarthritis and I would say no. But as I do not take any medication now I can't be sure. It is worse, but I was taking a lot of paracetamol and ibuprofen when I was working (Dr meds didn't agree with me) which I stopped as I want to manage without. Some people say eating a lot (or any) of the nightshade fruit/veg is a no no. This includes staple fare over the summer here, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, potatoes so not something I would stick to and it hasn't made any difference eating them or not.

This morning I planted 150 onion sets and 120 garlic bulbs. I hurt. Do I want to go back to the UK and drudgery of being a home shopper in Tesco....NO. I will persevere and enjoy life here. It will be interesting to hear what others think though.

Sorry, no help what so ever!!!! Rheumatism and Arthritis 1865348797

My mum has been walking with a stick for about 3 years, pain in both legs from arthritis , Within a week of going there last June she was saying she felt better and by 2 weeks she was climbing trees to pick cherries..... , she stayed for a month in June and a month in September last year and then went back to the UK and the arthritis has not returned , she only stayed in Bulgaria for a month this year but still it has not returned.

Im sure it is the lack of humidity , Bulgaria is very dry compared to the UK

Not quite the same thing, but I have had knee operations a few years ago and suffer from bad knee pain, particularly if I walk too far, however I have noticed improvements out here. First time was when I came out on holiday/recce last year for a couple of weeks and noticed slight change. Now living out here, I have hardly suffered any pain at all and I have been renovating my house etc so I would have expected to notice some discomfort but they have been OK.

I have arthritic problems, we live here for almost 9 years and still have the same problems but I take ArthroStop Plus and that helps a lot, I don't think you have it in UK so if you come here you can buy it.

I have found no difference in either country. Its acid that is bad for arthritic people. Its a natural aging thing for many and nothing will really help except to keep down the acid content in a diet which would include some vegetables like tomatoes although not too bad if cooked and a little sugar added. Probably a similar diet to someone with ulcers. Maybe try a Google search or Wikipedia or NHS website for info.
