This is a very old point here in the UK which ran it's course and finally settled down to whatever we get charged, which I think is about 2.5%.
Sorry I don't use credit cards if there are charges so don't know what they charge.

If you notice on that video they are talking about what 'happened' in America in the 3rd quarter of 2012.

No I don't use credit cards either but I do use a debit care as I never carry cash - but if they are going to start charging to use debit cards than I know where they can shove it indefinitely (yes the hole in the wall)

Sorry if it's going OT, but are people aware that even Debit Cards here in the UK now carry a certain amount of protection the same as Credit Cards, although it is limited and I'm not sure what the limit is.

I had cause to complain to Trading Standards with regards to a small order of less than £20 I had place using my debit card and they advised me to contact the bank which I did and was refunded by the bank.

Like all things in this life these things have there place. When you live abroad it is often wise to use a credit card in order to but airline tickets as you get some sort of cover by using the card it also saves you losing big amounts of money out of your current account. Also with most Credit Cards you will only incur interest charges if you do not pay off the whole amount when it is due on your statement. :Great:Hence the expression do not buy what you cannot afford. Now with debit cards it is always handy to have at least 2 bank accounts, as if one card fails in an ATM you would have a spare to use. I found out the hard way and hence I have the 2 accounts I need. (Separate Banks). By checking the Banks web sites you can also look into how the charges work. Without advertising there is one bank that has an account which charges about 13 pounds per month but there is no ATM charge when the card is used abroad, plus the same bank also has a premiere account whereby if you have 50 K Pounds in that bank there are no charges on the account and free ATM as well. Plus other benefits etc. Research Research I'm afraid. Down side to this account is that if you fall below the 50 K mark you pay 25 Pounds per month or the account is down graded.

Sorry Bernie but for me I won't be looking at anything from that site any more and the reason being is that they have joined in with the governments attack on the disabled. In addition to that do any of us want to add to his fortune? which he is making out of the most vulnerable in our society.
