Strangely, everyone except the Spanish can see what a dire mess they are in. The Spanish Government are in complete denial that they have problems. They continue to build houses, as if its the boom years. The Spanish banks that needed a bailout continue to lend money to build more houses. The benefits and pension system are far superior to the UK, even after they have been frozen or reduced in the last austerity measures, but they still moan its not enough. They keep building massive shopping centers, where most shops stand empty. As for the Murcia Region, its entirely there own fault. Murcia got involved in the privately financed Corvera airport which has yet to open and the consortium behind it can't meet loan repayments. Murcia acted as the guarantor for the financing, and will become responsible for an airport that may never open and the 200 million Euro loan repayments when the consortium defaults.

The Euro will survive as it will not be allowed to die.The reason I say this is that a econmic melt down will ensue for the world as wether we like it or not this currency has been invested in by many countries and this includes America and Britain. Just think about it if the Euro becomes a valueless currency all the businesses that are tied up to it and investors who have thier money linked to it.No it will survive come hell or high water for these reasons.
