First topic message reminder : Hi Guys Just thought I would let you know we are rolling out our 'New Project for Christmas' I am hoping to get as many people involved as possible so if you know of a business or establishment please could you suggest our project. Thanks a million. Our New Project to start in Nov 2010 in Bulgaria. :Xmas2:[size=150:1znxoeb9] 'Berni & Dougie's Christmas Boxes' :Xmas2: " Коледно кутии, Берни и Дъги" This is a splendidly simple idea that everyone can help with and we can start immediately. We are asking businesses, schools, colleges, hospitals and homes, in fact everyone all over Bulgaria, if they can have a box in their establishments and houses for all their staff members, clients, students, families and friends to donate one or two new items towards. The donors can nominate an establishment in their area that they want to collect the items for, their local orphanage, a home for the elderly, a disability centre or some other worthy cause. Things like toiletries, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, slippers, toys, books, CD’s, DVD’s, hair accessories, make up, games etc. Maybe you could collect non-perishable food items to fill the boxes? Think how well a nice tasty treat will go down at this time of year. Once the boxes are full they can be delivered to the selected establishments in time for Christmas. It would be rewarding for everyone involved and just think of how happy you could make those who usually go without. It can be difficult to get people to make a positive move and commit to a cause, something else always gets in the way and good intentions sometimes come to nothing, but with this simple and super idea everyone can gain, the people who donate can be very proud they have helped those who are less fortunate then themselves and obviously all the establishments receiving gift boxes will benefit too. Hopefully you can help them have a wonderful happy Christmas for a change. Whoever participates in this project will be mentioned via our media supporters, Trust Radio, Anglo-Info and Quest magazine therefore, we will need to have your name and company or establishment’s information, more details will follow when we start advertising in Bulgaria soon. Thanks you for help us to help those who needs a little extra care this Christmas. Contact: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].uk Berni & Dougie Silistra Orphanage Oddy

Oddy Cindy has put this on their website [size=150:db6xtw64]Christmas box appeal We are starting to collect Christmas goodies for local orphanages so please can you route out all those unwanted but unused toiletries, knitted hats, scarfes, mittens, socks, make-up, food, cd's, toys or anything that you think would be suitable to go into a small box, even if you can donate only 1 item it will go a long way to help these children at this special time. Christmas boxes for donations can be found at the following locations:[size=150:db6xtw64] Condor Club: Radevo Village, near Nova Zagora, Sliven area. The club will also be holding a Christmas fair on the 19th December so if you are making goodies to sell please make a few extra to donate. The donations made through the Condor Club will be given to the Orphanage in Sliven where there are 67 children ranging from 3 to 7 years. [size=150:db6xtw64] British Lion Foodstore: Balchik. I notified everyone on 1st Nov. Still Trustradio will be broadcasting this week so we will see what happens. Berni xx Oddy |

:Howdy:Berni When you read what I am about to post, you will no doubt think that I have lost the plot or gone stark raving bonkers Wizzair are now the major carriers to and from Bulgaria, they have 7 flights a week from Sofia, 2 from Varna and 2 from Bourgas, that is somewhere in the region of 1500 to 2000 passengers. Why not get in touch with the marketing and promotions department and let them know what you are doing in Bulgaria and ask for their support On a 3 hour plus flight I have noticed that the cabin crew have plenty of time on their hands, so how about this as an idea. Say I am mad if you like Wizzair have printed scratch cards with information about your Orphanage project and advertising it on the back of the card, they sell them for 1euro eack and any prize from another card free to 10euro is dealt with on the plane, but anything above that is dealt with by sending in your winning card to Wizzair. As the scratch card company state that there is a 60% profit, Wizzair could then make a monthly contribution to your Orphanage project after taking out their expenses Example:- Say 25% of the passengers had just one go on each flight, in one month that would be approx 40euro a flight = 1240euro a month, nearly 15.000euro a year. I must admit I did not get a degree in Maths, so apoligies if I'm up a gum-tree Anybody got any comments

Sounds like a good idea Bryan but what about the gambling laws surely this would require a licence? I don't know about these things but I'm fairly sure that a licence doesn't come cheap .

I don't know if Wizzair(a Hungarian Company) have such things as gambling licences in their country This is what I posted originally, perhaps not so stupid after all Wizzair have printed scratch cards with information about your Orphanage project and advertising it on the back of the card, they sell them for 1euro each and any prize from another card free to 10euro is dealt with on the plane, but anything above that is dealt with by sending in your winning card to Wizzair. As the scratch card company state that there is a 60% profit, Wizzair could then make a monthly contribution to your Orphanage project after taking out their expenses This was done very successfully on a Monarch flight that my Wife and I was on going to Gran Canaria a couple of years back, so it can and has been done

Might be worth approching them but would they be interested in a small charity, but no harm is asking nothing ventured and all that
