Nobody I've ever met face to face has done that to me (prolly why I'm still running my own successful business after 20+ years). - Khan1 wrote:

See above. If people can't see through the transparency of rogues, then more fool them. Of course, you could always Google and trust what you find! I will continue to rely on my instincts and gut-feeling than Google thank you. |

| Then you have been very lucky, just like me. Oh yes there are plenty of fools out there, as the saying goes, a fool and his money... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

So basically what your saying is trust no one? well it would be a very sad world if thats all we had to look forward to? however I still feel that face to face contact has to be a lot better than google as ChrisQBG says there is a lot of people on the net who thought they could trust others by this means |

| No not saying that at all, I am saying as I have repeatedly said, use a manner of different sources. You have to make the decision of who to trust. |

If that's the case, you've been lucky indeed. |

Well, yes, you do. Of course you could decide to trust no-one, ever. Regards, C. |

If that's the case, you've been lucky indeed. I think it would only be a fool who would base their judgement on what they find on the net and forums |

Absolutely right - who, in their right mind would do that? Regards, C. |

| Trust on the internet - don't make me laugh.
There is a pack of lies, deception, jealousy and downright malice all over the web. Look at people who've been killed because of Facebook alone. Not to mention businesses which have been ruined by deliberately defamatory posts on forums. Most of these people have never met.
It's damn sad IMHO and nothing but nothing takes the place of face to face contact and life. |

| Couldn't agree more never base an entire judgement on what's on the net, whether it is google or via forums, only a fool would do that. |

But ... your advice is to Google as the 'quickest route'? Very true ... only a fool |

Isn't that the opposite to what you said here ? |

| Perhaps I am speaking another language you are quoting ONE method I have mentioned and for some strange reason keep going back to it.
If you read back I have agreed face to face is good if you are a good judge of character, sadly some people are hopeless, I have mentioned recommendations/word of mouth, if it is for work, viewing past jobs. As I have repeatedly said there are all manner of ways, yet you keep picking on one point?
Anyway you have heard my opinions and clearly don'y like them so I will let others contribute their thoughts. |
