| Hi guys we are doing research into areas to be interested in for the purchase of our new home. It seems that for the same money you can buy a way nicer house in the areas closest to Romania. Now is this because the areas are not as safe and secure to live in as others in the centre and south of the country. Or that building materiels and labour is cheaper in the north ( don't think so). I am by no meant worried by the Gypsy community as such because the vast majority just want to live their way and that's that just like me. I just seem to find great houses in the north for really really good money and just wonder what the Craik is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| Sorry oddball, we are looking to buy in BG and it just seems that for say £10k you get a better (or more value) house for the same £10k in the south of BG. |

| Sorry to butt in here...no offence meant, but in your first post you say you can get a better house for your money up near Romania, then in your last post you seem to be saying that better value is in the South of Bulgaria.
I'm confused. |

| Ah Bazz I read it as [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is saying he would get a better value house up near Rom for the same price he would pay in the south. Near Rom would be Silistra, Serberna, Popina, Malek Preslavetz, Tutrakan. Houses are fairly cheap but you would have to do big renavations unless you bought an ex Brits house and ther eare not many Brits in this those area's Have a look at some of the properties for sale on this site. |

Ooops! forgot to link the site [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Another thing I would suggest [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] If you are considering buying up this way than pick something as near to the town as possible, we are 15km from Silsitra nothing in the summer but boy is it a long long drive in the winter. Very few of the villages have amenities this way, although there are a few small shops/bars in the next village but we have to go to Silsitra for anything we want. |
