| Hi folks If you click on the Market Drayton Festival of Transport banner at the top of this forum and then click on Gallery you will see a couple of pictures with an orange beetle in it, that folks I believe is owned by our very own Admin, Ashley who built it completely himself from an old chassis he found in a farm yard and paid peanuts for. I have actually sat in it and what he has done and how he has found all the parts to re-build it is amazing |

| Thanks Ashley...I knew yours was a later model, the bumpers gave it away...so did the fuel flap.
I had a Mini as well...old body but 1275cc, slightly worked motor. Shame the roads are so bad here or I'd have another one. |

| Both very nice and it takes me a back to the days when these were seen on the road more often but sadly they are slowly disapearing |

| Still haven't got round to adding any pics yet sorry. We received this and I thought I would share it here.
An Ode written especially for the show! Thank you to Dave Basford:
Market Drayton Festival of Transport 2016
Draytons' Festival of Transport was a transport of delight. When I arrived at Palethorpes field There was a wondrous sight.
There were Tractors, cars and lorries, Some modern, some quite old. All the pride of their owners With their stories to be told.
The older restored lorries, were just a joy to see. But the one that really took my eye was a very rare Maudsley.
The Blood delivery Motor Bike and crew deserve our Cheers. Performing such a Vital task, And all by volunteers.
To the older ones among us, the music was too loud. But i'm sure it was appreciated by the young folks in the crowd.
With the Shore family and helpers An honour it was to be. To assist them raising money for the Hospital Charity.
And so; the second one has passed, Let's give the Shores a Cheer. And make a resolution To enter early for next year.
David Basford Market Drayton 21/08/2016. |

| Yes we did here is an update The money has been counted and we're pleased to say that everyone who supported/sponsored the show, came to exhibit and visited on the day helped us to raise £5500!!! This is more than last year and we can't thank you enough. This means that we are now able to help the Cancer ward (Ward 23, RSH), refurbish one of their shower rooms. So in 2 days over 2 years we have raised over £10.000 |
