| We got the jeep out of the garage and the ground is so soft it left massive big groves all over the place, we thought go down the centre and get the waste ashfelt and put it on the ground but that did not work as the more we drove over the ground the muddier it go so now we have ourside the gate to sort as groves and mud there too, talk about making work for oneself. We need someone with a trailer or tractor to hale it up then we can shovel it off but do you think there is anyone in sight - Not on your nelly. Mud everwhere, I HATE MUD.. |

Thank you [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] i managed to open the link Mud glorous mum xx Yesterday we had Marin turn up with his tractor and trailor for us to go and load up the stone left over from the new road and put on our drive. All the group came out to help Petu, Dotcho, Yvanka, Ginka, Ivan Dougie and I. 3 Hours and 6 trailor loads later we have this. Much better that mud and a hardcore base for when we get the proper stones. We have to get this garden done this year I am sick of it now, just can't get the help and if we do they are charing a fortune. Someone came to measure up for gates back in the summer but we have not heard a thing from him since... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Luickly for us we won't be here for the big thaw and hopefully when we get back it will be all nice and dry again, then we can add more hardcore..... As well as sort the concret leading into the garage will sort out an angle grinder and shave it back a little so the garage doors don't stick. The mister wants to break the small drive away and build another one at a slant |

| We had similar situation leading into our place, no matter how much 'hardcore' rubble I put on top it just sank in when wet, in stages, due to area to cover, levelled off sections, laid heavey duty nylon liner takes weight of vehicle, and covered with gravel, mud gone. When it rains water goes through gravel hits the nylon and runs off at the edges. Could be a solution?

| Thanks Bill that will be the plan eventually, for now need o get as much hardcore in as possible before we get the 30ton of gravel, but still have to sort out transport they want 300lev to deliver the gravel from about 5kms down the road.... Will be talking to the local co-operation boss when we get back from UK... |

| Hi Bernie As a guide if it helps? Here We pay 30.00 lev per ton for gravel. Max load 3 Ton. Delivery = 24.00 standard charge so one 3 ton load = 90.00 lev plus delivery 24.00 lev = 114.00 lev. If I was ordering 30 ton I would try and negotiate a discounted delivery charge, as most trucks are 3 ton limit

| Thanks Bill, the stone is coming from the quarry down the road so it is much cheaper to buy it there 30ton for 200kev us very good. Sure we will sort out the transport when we get back. We arrived back in UK tonight safe and sound.........

| Maybe we could all get together for a 'wheelbarrow' day...that might ease the burden. |

| Finish it all off with a big BBQ and some beers/wine and stuff and the problem will vanish! |
