| Does anyone know if there is a Bulgarian drug price list similar to this one I found for Turkish drug prices. [url:3tqtt4yu]http: //www. ilacabak. com/indexen. php[/url:3tqtt4yu]
The medication I'm interested in is for C.O.P.D. and is 'Spiriva 18 microgram Inhalation Powder Had Capsule' (Tiotropium) |

| I have looked for a drug pricing as I suffer fromone or two ailments and the answer is no! What I can tell you is that the main cities like Varna Sofia and Dobrich are a little cheaper than the towns such as Vulchi Dol.Depending on what drug you need the price varies but are much cheaper than the UK prescription charges I bought from a Dobrich pharmacy 60 tablets of Bisperol and the same with Adalat along with another blood pressue tablets and it came to 28 Lev which is about £13 for two months supply. However my wife who has artheritis has pain relieving tablets and for 28 of them it costs 30Lev which is around £14 so as you can see it depends on the product. |

| Thanks CheekyChops, but not much joy with either of those sites, the last one does show the medication but there is no price listed for it.
Looks like if it ever comes to it, I'll just have to use good old fashioned postage.
For anyone who does not know though, your doctor can issue medication for up to 3 months in advance.
************ Thanks Mod for splitting this topic and sorry for taking the original one off topic, but I did think it was helpful. |

It is indeed and worthy of its own topic! The chemist shop in Kotel has a huge catalogue with just about every drug known to mankind! However, it's not online (I asked them), and the catalog is only available to pharmacists. However, it may be worthwhile dropping into a chemist with your drug and seeing if they can get it in BG, and give you a price (sometimes the drug doesn't have exactly the same brand name, but does have the same ingredients). |

The medication I'm interested in is for C.O.P.D. and is 'Spiriva 18 microgram Inhalation Powder Had Capsule' (Tiotropium) Annette has C.O.P.D. and she takes a steroid inhaler each day, this is made by AstraZeneca. Prices here vary from one Chemist to another and sometimes by a large amount, so be careful and search around for the cheapest one when you get here. We have two chemists in one road and one charges 136 Leva and the other one 48 Leva for this medication. Other medicines also vary, but not by so much. |

| 48 Leva sounds on-par with the price from the Turkish price list for 30 capsules. I wonder if the 136 Leva pack is for a larger amount, but not to worry, as I said if needs be I can just get them sent out from a repeat prescription. Unfortunately here in the UK it is a prescription only drug so no price available. |

| Very interesting question but I'm sure it depends where you are and where you buy them from? |

| I have asthma and use a salbutamol inhaler. This cost me the huge sum of 5.50 leva! Less than half the price of a UK prescription. No wonder the huge pharmaceuticals make such an enormous profit. |

That's odd ... one of the Chemist's in Kotel charge 7.00 leva for a Salbutamol and the other one charges 8.50 leva! |

| This was in VT, and apparently I got a small discount! No idea why as I didn't buy anything else. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

Unfortunately here in the UK it is a prescription only drug so no price available. Our experience in BG is you can get whatever you want without a prescription. The range of medicines is huge, I believe this is due to the advertising on BG TV for medicines. They are either advertising food or medicines on the TV, out of 5 ads 3 will be for medicines, the BG's must be swallowing the things like mad, they are all hypocondriacs! I haven't seen a headstone on a grave saying " I told You I was Ill' yet though!!!! |
