First topic message reminder :

I did suggest last year a meeting for forum members but not much seemed to come of it.

I will put the idea forward again for 2013. Is anyone interested in a 'meet' in Bulgaria. It may not be that easy as people will live in different areas etc I know. Still it's worth a try. Area and date suggestions ?

We also have some friends who live there Been up the steps aswell, best done before midday :P1:

I think everyone has different suggestions for a place to meet ! Whichever area is chosen some will have to travel further than others - With this in mind what about the Shuman area. The last village suggested looks great.

Thank Rakiaplease that sound good unfortunately we cannot make it then as we will not be in Bulgaria until Sept and the first week will be all about organisation of the lorry delivery and distribution and then the Garden Party but after than we have another 2 weeks left. So afraid August is out for us.

Thats a shame Oddball. I think the date will be more of a problem than the venue. August is just a suggestion. I suggest that if people wish to come along it would be a good idea to put a few dates when they will be in BG. A date could be chosen when the most members are in Bulgaria.

Good Morning

Me and my wife Carol would like to attend, we live in the South West of Bulgaria, its a famous Spa area, if you wanted to hold it in this area would be willing to help with the organisation.

But either way would be willing to travel.

We would like to, but as we haven't even arrived yet do not want to commit. Anyone having to take their dogs? Depends on how they settle if we can leave them or not.

Have all said they would like to meet depending on venue and date etc.

May I suggest that you select two or three dates when you know you are going to be free. Either PM me or post on the thread.

Just one more for the pot. Meeting in Sunny Beach or Nessebar for a night would mean a weekends break for everyone as well as meeting up.

1) Dates for us would have to be at the Silistra Garden Party 14th Sept or the night before we are all meeting up at the Vienna Hotel in Silistra.

2) failing that if it is Shuman than the following weekend 21 Sept would be good too

There are plenty of us that want to have a "
get together,"
however, we are in the same position as Mr and Mrs Eq with having dogs. This ultimately makes it impossble to stay away for a night and so the venue needs to be near enough to travel. Bulgaria is not a particularly large country, but we all know that travelling anywhere takes ages because we spend most of our time driving around the edges of mountains, unless we are lucky enough to come across a tunnel of course. Unfortunately, so far the venues suggested are too far from us, suffice it to say that I am not throwing my "
two penneth"
in and suggesting another venue near to where we live!

Failing you do not having neighbour that would feed them ..they wont die if left for a night...even 2 ..if they have plenty of water left for them !!

So far Bgbazz / Bgbound / Me / Loopeylou / Darrel have said yes. The others are up for it depending on circumstances.

I think unless there are other definates it may be better to say lets meet at the garden party in Sept for those who can make it. Out of the five coming I would bet that a few of those would have to drop out because of other commitments etc.

It seems a shame but unless more come forward this seems to be the best idea. I am still up for it if others are ?
