Well, I am here to announce that Mr Eq and I are now the proud owners of a home in Bulgaria! We will be moving out in the middle of May, and there will now be a fresh batch of questions forthcoming, so anybody who would like to share their experiences and information....please feel free.

For now that is it, panic has not set in and Mr Eq is at work so no-one to chat to yet. Excited but pannicky too. I have to admit it feels good to be a property owner again after six months in someone else's house!

Near VT too. We were tempted by the mountains and no neighbours, surrounded by wildife. But sense prevailed as we are not getting any younger, so have gone for a village in the agricultural area, which has a few shops and a cafe and medical centre etc, and children running about so not all olds (met a Russian neighbour who was waiting for a baby to be born) also a bus service and between towns. And hopefully the chickens will be safe from the foxes and jackals that some people have trouble with. We figure if it all goes ends up we will at least have a nice holiday home for the rellies and us. But that will not happen, we are determined!

Good luck with your move. VT is very nice and has all you will need in the way of shops etc. I assume you are moving 'for good' ? I suggested last year a meeting for forum members but nothing much came of it. Maybe something will be arranged this year so who knows, we may all be meeting up for a beer or two later in the year.

In fact that has given me an idea for a new thread !

Many congratulations to you Mr and Mrs Eq. Time will go quickly and as with us a slight panic sets in at times when we moved out from the UK. Annette and I are sure you will have no trouble in arranging things. You know you can ask as many questions on here as you like, there is always someone who will answer you whatever the question may be.

Wow.... Look's lovely! Doesn't look like much (if any) work needs doing! I'd say you must be so excited! VT is a lovely area - our place is about 40mins north of the city. Not too far of a drive for Banana, Chocolate and Beetroot cake!! New Home 1865348797
