for years i have passed what i thought was a wood storage place, looks more like a house than a shop. the door was open yesterday so i had a peek. its a trade shop and sells floorboarding, fencing, rails, all sorts for they DIY person and half the price of the big stores. well worth a visit.

It is at the top of the hill on the right hand side just before you go down into balchik, opposite the british food shop.

It's good to know starlite good, seasoned timbers are good to work with when renewing floorboards.

Its quite surprising what you can find when looking around these quaint little streets what you think is a persons house can turn out to be an Aladdin's cave. Good find starlite

the diy store in popovo is pretty good for wood we go in there a lot

You can try and contact a member of the forum called bapps he supplies timber in Bulgaraia

theres two diy warehouses in popovo which sell, wood, glass, concrete, sand electrical wire etc not sure if youve found them yet so will try and explain where they are. if you come into popovo from the targovishte road go through the center of town past the furntiture shop. go right to the end of town and the road goes left or straight on and you go out of town past a garage. take the left turn it goes back up towards the houses on the opposite side of town. just as you reach the houses the road continues round to the left you shouls see a mud track on the right which appears to go up behind the houses. go up the mud track and the diy warehouses are at the top. the one on the right has most stuff and is the cheapest.
otherwise theres a large wood shop on the outskirts of targovishte
