| As we are going down memory lane, lets see what sort of games you played in your area of England as a child. Pick up Jacks Hop Scotch Marbles And was it called french skipping, when you had a long piece of elastic stretched with a person each end, and you did all sorts of patterns with your feet jumping around. this was another one singing songs with a partner and doing different movements with your hands. | whip and top, you used to colour the top in different colours so it would look good when it was spinning. Those were the days. |

| Well, Annette has mentioned her childhood games and now I remember some of mine which included a Meccano set, I was always building cranes but don't know why, I never had a go on one. My other great favourite was the Hornby 'O' series electric train, these were super and cost a fortune to buy now. This was long before my drum kit in the bedroom days!! Eric : : |

| The boys at our school played something called " British Bulldog" . I can remember my brother getting his head whacked against a wall because of it. (That explains a lot now!) Probably be banned in this day and age. |

| We used to play " chicky nelly" (goodness knows where the name came from!" ) - ringing doorbells and running away or hiding! We probably thought we were really daring. |
