Has anybody in the Shumen region been asked to pay 800euros a year for their childs education

Education is no different to the uk. state run schools are free, private, you pay. check the status of the school.

Our local school is state run,but we were asked to cough up 800 euros a year for our son to go to school,we are off to see our solicitor on monday,see whos on the cadge!!

A friend of mine started his two boys at the local school this week.Totally free.Lunch vouchers are 60 stinks per day.

dont go to a solicitor, theres no need. email solvit the eu advisory unit. they will tell you exactly whats what. if you are being treated differently to a bulgarian the eu will liase on your behalf with the bulgarian government departments. just google solvit and they will help. no charge.

I agree all member states should provide free education, and this is EU legislation
