Bulgarians and other EU citizens no longer need passports for Serbia
Bulgarian citizens will be able to travel to Serbia with personal ID cards from June 12, Bulgarian National Television (BNT) reported the Serbian foreign ministry as saying on June 10. International passports for EU citizens are no longer required.
The new rule is valid for all members of the European Union but also for citizens of Switzerland and Iceland.
Until now, Bulgarian ID cards were valid in the European Union, but were not acceptable identification documents in Serbia.
