It is the month of August, on the shores of the Black Sea .

It is raining, and the little town looks totally deserted. It is

tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives

on credit.

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town.

He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 Euro note on the

reception counter, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs

in order to pick one.

The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Euro note and runs

to pay his debt to the butcher.

The Butcher takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay

his debt to the pig grower.

The pig grower takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay
his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Euro note and

runs to pay his debt to the town prostitute that in these

hard times, gave her service on credit.

The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with

the 100 Euro note to the hotel proprietor to pay for the

rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Euro note back

on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect

anything.

At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting

the rooms, and takes his 100 Euro note, after saying that

he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now

without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the World

Governments are doing business today.

And if that doesn't scare the ____ out of you then you are brain dead!

Oh how very true. Through necessity I have lived in a cash society for the last 20 years and if I haven't got the money I can't have it. Simple. Credit was introduced to make money for those providing it! Most people were taken in by it, including me, at one time because it seemed so obvious that things could be bought and paid off at a later date. Especially true when there was an interest free time at the beginning of the debt. What wasn't realised by the average person, and maybe not even by our politicians, is how easy it becomes to get into horrific debt especially if only the minimum amount is paid off monthly. Hence our world recession.
Yes, it is sometimes difficult to accept that a cash lifestyle maybe inhibiting while 'richer credit' neighbours appear to be racing ahead with the latest must- haves, at least when the bubble burst we aren't 'up a creek without a paddle'. Just a thought from a simple 'oldun'.

Here in Bg, I think that is very true, for most, except some BG's, like Brits don't care how much they owe and just disapear when things get tight. Hence we have many of them living here in Bg doing the same things. Yes, they are here in BG as well, Brits, doing what Brits do, in the UK.

Very sad fact of live, I'm owed money from Brits I helped when I came here and still dreaming of getting it back, but never will. Johnbaz knows 2 of them in His village. Don't you John?
