From memory there are about 4 Brit families there but there could be more now? and the same applies to Burya but I think there are a lot more Brits there . Good luck

Don't know of these villages. We live near VT about 40 mins drive. Very good area to be in Bulgaria. VT is beautiful with it's old town, and then all the new and upto date shops and big stores in the city. We are also not far from Pavlikeni. That is nice to go shopping, more relaxed if you are not in the mood for traffic or, parking worries. So much to see and do around VT.

The posts on this topic are pretty old now but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. I have a house in Stefan Stambolovo, about 20mins north of Veliko Tarnovo and not too far from Pavlikeni. Just wondering if anybody else has property there or has been there recently. I haven't been able to get over for quite a while, I think the crappy weather we're having over here is making me think about it again!

We see Dave and Sara at the Hotnitsa car boot, but they want start at Hotnitsa for a while yet. They are well and Sara makes chutneys and they also have some bee hives and sell their own honey. |

Thanks for letting me know...please give them my regards when next you see them. They wouldn't recognise my new user name, if they still have any contact with the forum. Cheers We also have six bee hives now and the free honey is great!
