Hello. I'm desperately in need of contacts in the Dobrich area (Vedrina). I haven't been to my house for 5 years due to my husband sadly passing away. I have owned the house for 10 years and have had quite a lot of renovation work done but the condition has seriously dilapidated during my absence. I am driving out there in 6 weeks time but really wanted to get the ball rolling before I get there. The garden is 1200 sqm and is completely over grown (my neighbour sent some photos).
I am looking for someone who can make a start on clearing the garden so that it's not too devastating when I arrive. I will also be looking for builders in the area to renovate the outside and the roof.
If anyone can put me in touch with someone who could help I would be very grateful.

To be honest as far as your garden is concerned you won't get better than your neighbors and their friends from the village. I've fond in the past that to get some English person to do it will cost the earth and they wont do a very good job on it, so check it out with your neighbor first. You will also find someone in your village that is happy to repair your roof too and they will do a good job but again ask your neighbor I'm sure they will only be too happy to help you. There are a few members on here from your region.

Thanks for your reply, I have asked my neighbours grandson who I am in touch with on Facebook but he seems very busy and my neighbour is in her late 80's and not in the best of health. As I haven't been there for so long I have lost touch with most of the villagers and the builders who originally did work for me 10 years ago.
I suppose the best bet is to be more patient and wait until I get out there, I'm just dreading seeing my lovely garden in such a state but I enjoy a challenge! :)

If you can hang it out till you get there I think you would be better off and you will find someone easier who will do you a good job at a good price.

Go to agree with stig on this one you won't find better people to work for you than your neighbors. Sorry I can't help though

Lisa do you know the village mayor if so send him an email and ask him to find you someone from the village, or maybe he can send his workers there but pay him not the workers.
