Hi again friends.
I'm travelling out to Bg in a few days and will be looking for a stove for my house that has both hot water and heating pipes.
I have a little house with just 3 rooms (2 large rooms and a kitchen).
Has anyone got any recommendations as to what I should be looking at buying and very roughly the cost of installation?
Thanks so much.

PS - Does anyone in the Dobrich region know of a good fitter/plumber? Thanks again.

From our knowledge of our wood burner and friends who have different types of burners as well, my advice would be to have a wood burner Prity or othwerwise that allows heat to eminate from the sides. We have a 33Kw wood burner which is slotted into our lounge wall and serves eight radiators, our burner is on the inside of the house and not on an outside wall. The sides of the burner are sealed for protection against heat entering the wall and any problem thereof. These burners are fine, but don't give as much heat as the burners which eminate heat from the sides and I would advise you to get one that does this. Having more heat than you need is better than not having enough heat, the winters here can be very cold.

Thank you so much for your comprehensive reply. I know the Bulgarian winter very well. I've had my house there for 10 years (some 700 feet above sea level) and spent many winter weeks in both December, January and February there.
I have the hole and outlet chimney and up-pipe already in place. Your info. on the heat emanate issue is very interesting and something that I was (until now) unaware of.
I want the prity on the upper floor if possible, as this is where the outlet chimney pipe is located. Will it still be able to heat radiators 6' lower into the downstairs lounge, or will it need to be downstairs to allow that to work - or a pump maybe?
Sorry to go on.... Finally (at last), how much should I be looking at paying for a brand new prity and 3, maybe 4 radiators. I certainly won't need 8.
Again, very much appreciated for your help and time.

You will most certainly need a pump to get the water to circulate around the radiators. To be safe with any power cuts, it would also be advisable to get a UPS system (uninterrupted power supply), these are available in most DIY shops and will keep the pump circulating until power is restored. No idea of price, but be advised by somebody how powerful the wood burner needs to be. Seek out a Bulgarian or English plumber to help you install the system.
