Bulgaria PM: Black Days Ahead for Neighborhood Bandits

Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has stated that the coming days will be “black” for neighborhood bandits as he announced the start of the ‘Operation Apashite’ by the Interior ministry.

Borisov said that the number one goal for the Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov was to target the robbers who the whole country complains about. He added that the government would “chase the bandits to their holes”, the Standart newspaper reported.

“When there is no tolerance for drug dealers and thieves of cars, apartments and villas, people believe in the state,” Borisov continued. He also noted that “there has not been a stolen car in Sofia since the arrest of the main members of the ‘crocodiles’ gang.

Regarding problems last year between Bulgaria President Georgi Parvanov and himself, Borisov stated that his main concern stability and governance of the state.

Borisov concluded that EU President Herman Van Rompuy had told him at the end of his recent visit to Bulgaria that he was “aware of problems between the two institutions but that they both speak the same language and have common positions on important issues for the country, Europe and the world which means a stable government.”

Great news let’s hope they mean it? I hear this sort of thing all to often but who knows maybe the time for change has arrived ?
