Well as you know we have a house in Sliven, in my opinion it is not habitable and has not been lived in for over 25 years. I get the bill for house taxes when Sliven office think about it, got one for 380lev in 2014 then another in 2016 for 290lev I keep emailing and calling them but they never seem to send one every year so naturally the interest and daily intrests goes on the bill. I was pretty angry when I got the last bill as I told them to send it to me every year so I can pay it. They said yes we will do that in Feb. Well feb has been and gone and no bill so I emailed them again and they sent me the bill on line. It appears the rates are 57lev and the rubbish collections are 16lev and if I pay but 30.4 I get a 5% discount. This I thought was quite high as my rates here are only 34lev a year for everything Does different municipalities charge different rates.

Next I have to go to the bank now for them to make the payment another story as they need each unit itemised so they can allocate the cost on their computer package only took us about 1.1/2 hours last year to sort it out. So this time I email the Sliven office to break the bill down int which amount fits with which code. Waiting for reply. Again if I did not request the bill they would have just left it to earn interest

Would you believe it today one of the neighbours picked up the post and it was the bill from Sliven. So finally after numerous reminders they got it right to us before the penalties and if we pay it before 30.4.17 we will get a 5% discount so off Monday to pay it. .
