We went to a table top sale of goods from the UK today, got a shock at the prices being charged for food stuffs , we realise these people are out to make a profit, but come on, the mark up on items was 3/4/5 times what you would pay in the UK. Needless to say we came away with sweets for our son and nothing else !! Just because you are Brits does not mean you will pay the prices asked, most here make do and mend with what you can get your hands on? Or do they think you miss items from the UK so much you would pay through the nose for the pleasure ? NOT

Got to agree with you, but I guess some people must pay their prices or
they would go out of business?

Maybe some of them have been in Bulgaria to long? and have become more Bulgarian and think like they do that we are all millionaires

This is so very true and I have to admit I have sometimes paid well over the top for something I wanted but as time goes by I have either learned to do without or to find an alternative which isn't so difficult. I think these traders will become a victim of their own greed and fall from a great hight.

I suppose its how desperate you are for gravy granules lol We went to a shop selling Brit stuff, everything we bought stale ,the pies were rank and the one tinned pie we bought would not open. A real load of s!@t5e!! Bearing in mind this was the first and last time in four and a half years we had been to a so called UK food shop Never again. There is a Brit owned cafe about 45 mins from us, they charge for three cups of tea and three bacon butties, 16levs what a rip off!! But cos its Brit people pay it, we are in BG not UK. We would rather go round the corner to a locals
