In the past I stayed at a Guest House in the Rhodope Mountains on a couple of occasions called Four Seasons Retreat . At that time was self-catering holiday accommodation near Pamporovo in the Rhodope mountains.

Four Seasons Retreat is now under the new management of Alison &
Terry and it is located in Momchilovtsi known to be one of the most pictuesque and safe villages in the Rhodopes.

Alison is also well known for her hospitality and delicious cooking whilst Terry is a mine of information on the native birds, flora and fauna and extensive knowledge of the trails and tracks in and around the area.

Hi, We came across Terry and Allison at Four Seasons Holiday Retreat by chance after we had a wardrobe made by a (specialist ) and the drawer fell apart. Terry is also a very good carpenter and he repaired it for us, he also made us a fantastic pub style picnic bench for a very reasonable price.

When we visited the retreat we were made really welcome by them both and fed mouth watering cakes which Allison had made earlier that day. I believe the guests who were staying had come from Switzerland and were on route to Greece to go bird watching and cancelled the onward journey when Terry assured them that the species of bird could be found around the Triad Gorge. It is my understanding that the party was well impressed with the result and have provisionally booked a return trip.
