3.8 Degree Earthquake Registered in S Bulgaria
An earthquake with magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale has been registered near the southern Bulgarian town of Razlog Saturday.
The tremor has an epicenter 12 km west of Razlog and 91 km south of Bulgarian capital Sofia, according to data by the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The earthquake occurred just about noon Saturday, at an estimated depth of 10 km.
There are no reports of destruction and injured people.
A month ago, a 5.8 degree earthquake just off western city of Pernik caused damage and stressed many in the region. |

The earthquake that jolted Bulgaria few minutes ago was felt in Sofia, slightly in Samokov and very slightly in Montana. The earthquake was felt in the town of Plovdiv as well. That is what readers of FOCUS News Agency informed. Signals for the earthquake were received from citizens in Sofia districts Lyulin, Iztok, Lagera, Banishora and Strelbishte. | I too hope everyone is okay. I was in the last big Sofia earthquake 3 floors up in a hotel and it was extremely scary feeling the walls shake. Of course, there would be the worry of huge waves too on the coast. Briefly saw pics on the Bulgarian news of a very rough sea. |

| certainly felt it.....last night and the smaller one the night before hopefully tonight my chair will stay still and not go for a small dance !!!! |

Earthquake Shakes Bulgaria, Greece, Saturday
A strong earthquake has shaken Bulgaria's capital city of Sofia at around 12,30 p.m., Saturday.
The earthquake was on the territory of Greece, Bulgaria's Focus news agency reports, according to information by the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The earthquake was felt quite strongly in Bulgaria, as well.
The website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center has registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 on the Richter scale in the Aegean sea, followed by another one with magnitude 5.0, and a third one of 4.0 on the Richter scale.
The quake was felt in Bulgaria's cities of Kurdzhali, Burgas, Plovdiv, Kazalnak, Stara Zagora. |

| Wow guys the earth really moved for me last night. The bed was doing a rock and roll and I was sleeping, woke up with a start wondered what ws going on, thought maybe a big snake got thought the window and hit the floor with a huge tudd but soon realised it was a earthquake.
