Bulgaria will monitor the prices of lamb, eggs and cakes before Christmas

Wholesale prices of most commodities were record high in March. This shows statistics of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Wholesale Markets. In the middle of last month's index that tracks the wholesale market hit worth 2 points, then fell slightly and so at the end of the month value is 1.9882 - the highest since the beginning of last year onwards.
Fell are citrus fruits

Wholesale prices are those in which traders buy food and then mark them sold in retail chains. Often, however, the final appreciation is less than wholesale because of the high competition in retail sales, which means that traders and shrinking margins.
The main increase in wholesale prices comes from dairy products, vegetables, sugar and flour.

The greatest appreciation on an annual basis for sugar (52%), oil (48 percent) and flour (49%). In March 2011 compared to a year earlier, reported significantly higher prices of potatoes and garlic (about 71%). Are weakened, however, greenhouse cucumbers (10) and eggs (30%). Decline has on citrus, which experts say is due to climatic conditions. Mandarins and lemons, for example, are 10 and 11% cheaper than a year earlier.

According to the state commission, however, despite the steady upward trend of prices of oil and flour, their values remain below the level of March 2008, when the poor grain harvest led to a considerable increase in their prices - a factor which moved them up and over the last year. Cheese and cheese wholesalers also have increased by 29% in March on an annual basis.

"
The trend observed since mid-2010 and continuing through the first quarter of 2011, with the result that their prices in March were the highest compared to the same month of previous years"
, said the committee and complement that prices of rice and beans remain at the level of the previous year and were lower compared to 2009

Data show that cheese, cheese and sugar in bulk are highest for the last 5 years.

Rising food along with fuel are the main factor pushing up inflation in Bulgaria. In February, its level was 5.2% (compared to the same month in 2010), but this year prices have risen by 1.9%, showed the latest data from the national statistics. Economists say rising prices will put under pressure the majority of users.

"
The average Bulgarian household allocates one third of their expenses for food and another 15% for other goods and services whose prices are directly related to those of fuel,"
the latest analysis of UniCredit. Slow recovery of private consumption will continue to retain and growth of gross domestic product (GDP).

Food prices are a factor that weighs in the middle of last year. Then the worst cereal harvest in the global launch of a new wave of appreciation, which has moved along the entire chain of production of grain and meat food - from raw materials to final production. Such was the situation during the 2007 - 2008, which in combination with high demand before the crisis led to record high food prices - had agflatsiya term.
