We've been noticing some very 'strange' happenings with the Karma system of late.

Ashley and the Moderator Team therefore asked Mike, our Technical Guru to see if he could hack down through the forum log files to see what's been happening.

Lo and behold, we have a small bunch of forum members (you all know who you are - and now, so do we) who are spending their time removing other users Karma, and then giving their 'friends' extra Karma just for the sake of it.

This abuse will STOP immediately.

We now know who was doing this and when they were doing this and ONE MORE INSTANCE will result in an IMMEDIATE ban from this forum with no discussion.

This is absolutely pathetic behaviour - if you want to behave like naughty children, then go elsewhere and do it.

This topic is NOT open for discussion, it's a warning to the small bunch of people that are acting like idiots and trying to spoil the Karma system for the rest of the users here.

All Karma is now reset to zero due to the idiocy of some people. sorry for this but it seems we have some children on the forum!!!!

my pms say i have given karma to myself, never have i done this how could i. if members are giving karmas to each other because they know each other they are sad really sad. its rather amusing that they have to stoop so low, to make something out of nothing. sad people who know who they are, and the forum knows who you are, you are on the road to nowhere, you need to get a life cause you aint got nothing going for you right now. what a sad lot u are, its so funny as you are really sad people. trying to disrupt what is a very good forum, will never happen, get a life, this is so funny as its full of cyber idiots who think they can control, but will never achieve that goal. get a life somewhere else. funny they are funny they are not.

Hi starlite don't worry about you getting notifications like you are, all it is saying is that you have given someone karma and the system is letting you know that its done

lt seems the point system of any forum can be abused for the intention of using it as a power symbol.The more you have the more one thinks he is the bee's knees.
But to the right thinking members is the most important source of power is what is posted.The point system is really just a bit of fun to say thank you to another member for helping them out or just a gift for posting a interesting post.

l just do not care one bit if a member has a 1,000 karma points to a member with nothing.After all the real karma points are within the persons inner well being happily offering his or hers knowledge to guide others and to help others.

Does the above Admin quote mean that there have been no truly useful or interesting topics of late, or have members lost interest in the system
It may be that the forum has enrolled so many new members so far this year that they are just happy to observe and post information
The Karma system may not be on their radar
