Hi, I'm really knew to the forum, if this has been asked or explained before, then I apologise in advance. How do you get Karma? I've just been notified that I now have Karma, I hope this is a good thing

Hi Rimmer, Krypton is absolutely right. Karma is for saying something that people like and/or dislike. I often give karma points for people that put a real photo of themselves on their Avatar, this because I don't personally like the silly one's and that I like to see who I am talking to or who's topic I am commenting on. I also believe that it is good manners as well. Plus you never know I might bump into someone in the Street. Now that could be funny either 1 of 2 things could happen 1) Ignore me or 2) say something like " Now where do I know you from" I always hope it is the latter, as I much prefer to smile

I believe it is more important to make a positive contribution to the Forum than worry about Karma. This is a brilliant forum and let's keep it that way. : :

I would love to put up a photo but I'm a bit camera shy and always seem to get caught with either a double or a triple chin which is not really flattering, even in this digital age. I'm still getting to grips with the forum and reading through the posts, once I have got my bearings, I'll learn how to get a picture up. I think first I'll start with just contributing where I can. Karma seems such a cool way of showing your approval and agreement with a post or just your thanks I suppose it can work the other way when people don't like something or as I read somewhere here, some people were being rather naughty and giving demerits. :Very sad:Because they felt like it.
