A bit of sad news about a fire at an orphanage

This week a fire ripped through the orphanage in Varna, Bulgaria, an orphanage that All Go's Children International has had a long standing relationship with. Dozens of AGCI children have come home to their forever families from Dr. Jankova and the orphanage in Varna. Mercifully, no children or staff members were injured, but the damage was catastrophic. It destroyed a furnace room and the storage room which housed clothing, toys, new beds, blankets and food. As you may
know, orphanages are desperate for these supplies in the first place - let alone trying to replace these valuable items after a fire.

In 2008 Dr. Jankova gave me and my documentary crew rare access to her orphanage. I saw first-hand what an incredible facility she has created for the children and her staff. It almost physically hurts to hear of the destruction.

All God's Children International has created a fund to help the orphanage replace and rebuild as quickly as possible."

Its sad that they lost so much but at least the children were safe and no one was hurt, I wonder why this happened and was it arson or just an accident?

its great the children were safe,but don't these important establishments have insurance ?

Oh how awful, thank you for the information therowfamily this is indeed sad news but thank God none of the children were hurt.

We cannot do much here in the UK but various people have offered help to us in the past from different areas ie Varna and Sofia etc perhaps I could contact them and see if they would help now with the Orphanage in Varna. We can but try.

I would need contact with the director Dr. Jankova if she is prepared to contact me with a list of items that she needs, then we can see what we can do. I must stress we will be depending on the support from people in Bulgaria and not the UK hence I can't promise anything.

no one was hurt, that the best news, all can be restored in time, time is needed and it will, there is so much help from many areas, time will restore what was.

No further news and I have exasperated all avenues of contact now still no response. Hopefully the Children's International Organization has intervened.
