Public Enemy concert in Sofia gets closer
The American hip hop Public Enemy are set to perform in Bulgaria on October 27 in the Hristo Botev hall in Sofia's Studentski Grad (Students’ Town)
In light of the pending concert, the popular night club Stroeja, also in Studentski Grad, is going to hold a thematic Old-school Hip Hop Night, on October 21 starting at 9pm.
Public Enemy, a group consisting of Chuck D;
Flavor Flav;
Professor Griff and his S1W group;
DJ Lord, who replaced Terminator X in 1999;
and bassist Brian Hardgroove, were formed in the distant 1982, in Long Island, New York. The band have carved out a reputation for their politically charged lyrics and criticism of the American media, with an active interest in the frustrations and concerns of the African American community.
Their discography consist of 12 studio albums, while in 2007 they were inaugurated in the Music Gall of Fame.
Tickets for the Public Enemy concert in Sofia are available through Ticketstream.bg, priced at 40 leva until October 21 2010. Thereafter, tickets will cost 45 leva.
