You want to paint your house but you don’t have money? Two kilos of chops and homemade rakiya would do to pay the workers for the job. Because of the crisis this summer many house repairs are paid not in cash but in kind. After months of harrowing to get their money for a job done from already insolvent customers workers now agree to be paid in kind. “We go to Velingrad and Sarnitsa and even to Pazardzhik and in a week or two we come back with steaks or a demijohn with good rakiya,” house painters and construction workers from the company of Georgi Karaivanov told “The Standart”. “Recently we came home with a canister of salted belted bonito,” workers from the same company said. They left for the Black Sea resort of Sveti Vlas to repair two villas at the beach and the bargain was food and drinks while working and full saddlebags to carry home.

That brings a whole new meaning to putting food on the table any way your can I expect it is needs must these days.
