Bulgarian Police Stage 'Pimps' Operation on Black Sea Coast
Police from Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas, with support from the Prosecution of the town of Nessebar, cracked down on pimps operating along Bulgaria's southern Black Sea coast, arresting four.
The persons detained worked as a criminal group and had developed a network to provide sex for pay that reached out along southern stretch of Bulgaria's sea coast.
Burgas police closely tracked the group for about two months, in order to gain adequate information on its workings, which led to Sunday's "
Pimps"
special operation.
The pimps had at their disposal five girls from Burgas and Yambol who were forced to prostitute themselves to Bulgarian and foreign tourists.
The girls were based in the Slanchev Bryag resort, but received call ups and serviced clients in other locations too, such as Sveti Vlas or as far as Primorsko and Lozenets. Information about services was spread via calling cards placed in taxi cabs.
When needed, the girls also distributed drugs provided to them by the pimps.
The Burgas police detained the unfortunate youngsters – one of them aged 17 – and questioned them too.
