This EHIC lark is a load of nonsense. We were told that as we live in BG to destroy our cards as they were no longer valid and should be issued in BG. Then after about a month we were told that we should re-apply as we are now the responsibility of our home state under new EU ruling :: But all credit to the NHS we got our new cards in about 4 weeks. For a government Department not bad.
